This is a photo of our friend’s pretty lane a week before Christmas. We went to her house to pick up eggs since none of the hens we have left are laying. Sniff. Sniff. Anyhoo….I just had to stop to take a photo of the winter wonderland.
It’s been bitterly cold the past few days. All the animals have been hunkering down in the barn.

We had some super cold days here in Kansas earlier in this week. It was -20 windchill, but luckily it is warming up some!!!
It’s chilly here in North Texas, but seeing as we just moved here from South Dakota in summer, we think it’s lovely outside, LOL. You can tell we’re recent transplant compared to the locals because they’re all talking about how cold 16 degrees is and my family is thinking this is okay weather for winter
I have heard so many weather horror stories over the last week I almost feel guilty posting about the current conditions in Las Vegas. Let’s just say I can hang in a long sleeve shirt and no jacket with ease.

I escaped most of the cold in the Florida Keys this past week, but even in Tallahassee where I live it got down to 18 degrees at night, which is almost unheard of.

Snow always looks so pretty in pictures. I wish it looked that way all the time but here in Chicago it quickly goes to sludge with all of the salt.
