New and Improved Huggies Diapers and Wipes

The diaper dilemma. There are so many diapers on the market, many of the off brands are made by the same manufacturer just under a brand name – don’t ask me which ones because I don’t know the answer! :) Then there are cloth diapers and the choices seem endless compared to what they were 15-20 years ago when all we had were saftey pins and a rectangle piece of cloth and maybe a velcro version if we sewed or could find someone else who had them.

We have tried many diapers over the years and until our last little guy were mostly cloth diapering parents, but my husband got into the grove of buying disposable diapers after his mom supplied us with a couple months worth of diapers after our youngest was born in 2010. Since then we have used Huggies. For some reason they did not leak as much on baby, nor did they get that gel gunk all over my son’s bottom. We just grew to love them. I also like the fact that Huggies offers an eco-friendly version, which I have tried a few times and like just as much if not more because they are eco-friendly. They are just a little pricer for what I want to pay for disposable diapers, after all we just throw them away, right? (wry smile)

The new and improved Huggies diapers, Snug and Dry, and wipes are just as good, if not better than the former versions. I find food does not get stuck on the outside of the diaper as much, nor do they “pill” with that fuzzyiness as much. We have only been using them a week, but we definitely like what we are seeing so far! Try them and see for yourself! ;)

My little guy motored around in his Little Tykes car, ran around the garden, sat on the ground and you could barely tell he had been outside, unless he got wet. Then you could tell!

See my poor drooping plants there in the foreground…so need to get them all into the ground!

The wipes seem to have a different scent, at least the ones I received. I usually buy the Aloe scented ones so they were just different to me in that way. Otherwise they work just the same!

I’m a Coppertone Water MOM!

Summer is coming, don’t forget your sunscreen!

Growing up I remember using the bottle with a little girl loosing her bottoms to the puppy.  Well, here I am years later still using Coppertone for myself and family.

I received a brochure called “Sunderstanding”.  It has great information, I’d like to share.

I’ll be updating you periodically on how we are doing with our Coppertone Sunscreen.  We’ve really only had one day so far here in NJ where temps were above 70, and I didn’t have my Coppertone Sunscreen then.  It’s been rainy and soggy here, so I’ll keep you posted!  But, for now you can head to Coppertone’s webpage and print out a coupon or download their MyUV Alert app through Itunes.

I’m very excited about being selected to be Coppertone Water MOM!

Thank you Coppertone and MomSelect!

Copy-Kids Fruits & Vegetables DVD

Teaching our children good eating habits is important to my husband and I. Easter weekend my husband even had to convince his mother that our children did not need any Easter candy. Shocking! I know, but that’s who we are. Not that we don’t eat sweets we do but we are selective and try to eat homemade goodies over pre-packaged ones. My husband finally talked his mom into just buying our children a couple bags of apples and told her they’d be happy. She reluctantly relented. But do you know what our children did as soon as they saw their Daddy bring them in? They asked for an apple and after dinner what did they ask for, yep, another apple! If children have access to healthy food, they will eat it. There is far too much “junk” and chemicals in what is offered on store shelves. Over the years my motto has become, “Read the labels!”

Copy-Kids Fruits & Vegetables DVD

The idea that kids will follow other kids and copy what they eat is not new, it’s a given. Monkey see, monkey do…remember that saying? Yep, it goes for kids seeing what their parents and siblings are eating too.

Copy-Kids has created a DVD just for kids to help parents teach their children to eat their fruit and vegetables.

DVD Review

Our little ones really enjoyed this DVD. They liked watching the kids eat their fruit and vegetables. Our older children commented that the kids on the video were playing with their food.

Overall it is a cute video that young children will enjoy watching with their parents.

The Little Looster Review

“Little Legs Love The Little Looster”, and I couldn’t agree more!  This loo stool wraps around 3 quarters around the potty.  It stands approximately 8 1/2 inches tall, the step at it’s widest is about 8 inches wide and the shortest is 5 inches wide.  So, there’s room to get your child settled.  The Little Looster will make your child feel more comfortable when going potty.  It is very stable and doesn’t rock around.  On the bottom are 8 small rubbery circles that will “grip” your floor.

Here’s what it looks like around our potty.

The Little Looster won NAPPA 2011 Gold Medal, TNPC Winner, and 2011 Seal of Approval.

The Little Looster is available at most baby/children’s stores and online (http://www.littlelooster.com/).  You can visit them on Facebook and Twitter as well.

My Review -

The Little Looster is fantastic for my daughter, who has progressed wonderfully with this product.  So, that makes me super happy.  Her only complaint was that it wasn’t purple.  Mind you it only comes in white. ;)

For the adults, your probably going to have to move The Little Looster to go potty yourself.  But you’d have to move a stool anyway, right?

It’s a great product and love it.  However, I found it to be pricey.  So, gather your coupons from your favorite baby/children’s store and buy it there.  It really is worth it.  My daughter will be using it for a while or until her feet touch the ground.

Don’t pay full price!!!  Kids grow in leaps and bounds, why pay full price when they just grow out of them within a few months?!  I found this site this morning  http://kidsconsignmentsales.com/.  You choose your state and it gives the current sales coming up!  In fact, I thought I knew about all the sales in my area.  Low and behold, there’s another one, really close to my home.  There are lots of sale starting soon for spring & summer clothes.  I’m heading to one this afternoon!  I love these types of sales and I hope you can get some good buys in your area too!

“God Loves You!” Personalized Children’s Book Review

God’s love graces each creature, the great and the small,

and it soars to the sky like His redwoods so tall.”

This is a beautiful heartfelt book for your children is written by Jennifer Dewing and Illustrated by Maria Carluccio.  It is available at “I See Me! Inc. Personalized Children’s Books“.

God Loves You” won multiple awards in 2010, including Mom’s Choice Award and Creative Child Magazine’s  “Preferred Choice” Award.

There is a great deal of personalization in this book.  You are able to include the following information, child’s first, middle & last name, gender, dedication, sender, the month, day and year!

The book flows along paths of different illustrations, including the ocean, thru the wood, springtime, etc.

Follow this link for a tour of the book - “God Loves You!”

This is a great gift for Easter, baptisms, births, or just because.

My Review:

This book is full of love and inspiration for you and your child.  This is going to be the “go to” present for when friends and relatives have new babies.  The personalization in this book is extensive, no more writing in the front cover for me.  I’ve read “God Loves You” for my daughter the past few nights.  She loves the illustrations and I love the message coming from the book.

**”I See Me!, Inc.” did mention to please place your order before March 23rd if you’d like it for Easter.**

REVIEW ~ Little Lion AND Little Lamb Bibles

Little Lamb’s Bible and/ or Little Lion Bible is a soft, cuddly Bible that children ages 2 to 5 can call his or her own. Throughout this plush-covered book, children learn that they are loved and cared for by God as they hear about God’s faithfulness in ten stories from the Bible (both Old and New Testaments). With sweet, rhyming text and colorful illustrations, this soft and cuddly character storybook Bible is sure to become a classic with preschoolers!

OUR REVIEW:

We received both the Little Lamb bible AND the Little Lion Bible! They are both very beautifully made and constructed! We loved the fact that they had a plush outside and were a board book inside. This construction is unique and was very attractive to my children. My 3-year-old daughter loved the Lamb and my 5-year-old son loved the lion. I honestly thought that the bible would be too young for my fiver year old… but it was not. It had just enough content to hold his attention and the animal exterior tickled his fancy!

The content is great! Just enough text to hold the attention of little ones! The illustrations are wonderful! My children loved the vibrant pictures that accompanied the stories! The illustrations really captivated them and made the book a hit!

This is a wonderful product! I cannot say enough about the products that Zondervan puts out…they have not disappointed us yet!

Look for this product in stores on January 16, 2012. I think this would make a great gift…especially a wonderful gift for Easter! What a supplement to any bookshelf!

The book retails at $15.99…, which may seem high but remember it is a board book with a beautiful plush exterior and it is very high quality and should last for years!

Thank you ZONDERKIDZ for another great product!
