***Closed***12 Days of Christmas Giveaways – Day 9 – EZ Sox

Congratulations to Shannon! You won this giveaway! Thanks to all who entered and to the wonderful sponsors! Winner chosen by random.org

On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to YOU! A pair of EZ Sox from EZ Sox!

EZ Sox (as seen below) are a wonderful gift idea for baby showers, for parents with toddlers, and a great stocking stuffer for toddlers and young kids. For parents of special needs children, EZ Sox addresses a daily need and offers these children self-sufficiency and empowerment.

Created by parents who tired of seeing their young son struggle dressing himself, Eileen and Ronnie Gesser designed socks with pull-up loops on both sides of each sock, and fun graphics on the tops of the socks. In no time, their son was no longer frustrated and proudly dressing himself. Today this fun and easy teaching tool for teaching kids self-sufficiency is the only one of its kind.

EZ Sox are available to you at their online retail website at http://www.ezsox.com. EZ Sox are also sold in 30 boutique stores throughout North America and one US Chain Store with 36 retail outlets. A Japanese distributor has EZ Sox in more than 70 retail stores in Japan.

My Review:

We really, really liked the frog EZ Sox that we where sent to review. My son’s face lit up when he saw them and he had no problem at all putting them on. He was able to put them on by himself on the first try. We think that they are a great product and love them! We have yet to wash them to see how well they wash up, but we’ll be sure to let you know how they wash up.

Watch this cute video to see how to use the EZ Sox:

Belly Armor Holiday Bundle

I bought Belly Armor’s new Belly Blanket – Chic after Sir Eats Alot was born and although it is not as soft as the Belly Blanket Luxe, it isn’t as hot to have over my lap. It does have a small hole in it already, which I think came from some moth infestation we had when we brought some boxes that were in storage into the house. Very disappointing, but so far it hasn’t become any bigger. I have used it for a blanket for baby as well, especially if I happen to be laying in bed nursing and working on my laptop, as I will make sure I cover him while I work. It has a little hood on the corner like a baby towel does. I like it, but I think I like the Belly Luxe better because it does have a softer feel to it.

Now they have yet another new product on the market. Read more below…

Belly Armor Launches “Belly Band” to Shield Cell Phone and Laptop Radiation

New maternity band utilizes technology to address health concerns from everyday radiation exposure.

NEW YORK, NY, November 22, 2010 – Belly Armor by RadiaShield has recently launched the newest product in their line of maternity clothing and accessories – The Belly Band. Utilizing a silver-fiber textile, Belly Armor products shield radiation from cell phones and other electronic devices with over 99% effectiveness. To address the growing concern over the health effects from this radiation, Belly Armor has adapted this technology into a wearable maternity band.

Maternity bands have, in recent years, become an essential item for expecting mothers to both provide support and prolong the use of pre-pregnancy clothing. The Belly Armor Belly Band aims to capitalize on this trend by providing a band with the added functionality of radiation shielding.

“There are a lot of women out there who will be purchasing a maternity band already, it’s an easy decision to choose the band that will also provide protection against the health risks from everyday radiation,” says Belly Armor CEO, Aileen Chen.

The technology behind The Belly Band is called RadiaShield Fabric. It is lighter than the cotton found in a t-shirt, machine washable, and soft to the touch. The fabric utilizes an effect known as a Faraday cage, which neutralizes incoming radiation in a way similar to a grounding wire neutralizing an electric current.

Health experts advise that pregnant women limit their exposure to this type of radiation, which comes from devices like cell phones, laptops, mp3 players, tablet computers, even baby monitors. Some countries and even parts of the US have begun passing legislation to reduce this type of radiation exposure. France has banned the sale and marketing of cell phones to children and San Francisco recently passed legislation requiring the labeling of cell phone radiation levels.

Belly Armor Belly Bands come in black, white, nude and hot pink and in four sizes. You can find Belly Armor Bands online at bellyarmor.com and at maternity stores across the US and Canada.

About Belly Armor by RadiaShield
Belly Armor by RadiaShield is the definitive resource for information and tools to protect your child against the risks of everyday radiation. Made with RadiaShield® fabric and the highest quality textiles, Belly Armor products provide stylish comfort, convenient safety, and reliable protection. Belly Armor products are available online at http://www.bellyarmor.com and through maternity retailers across the country.

Belly Armor is offering our readers the “faithandfam” for 10% off and it expires on December 31st. They have holiday bundles available, plus you’ll receive an additional 10% off using this code!

Monday Motivation

Last week’s Monday Motivation:

~ This week we have a mommy blogging event that TheMotherhood.com and Wendy’s have coordinated. So we will be going to lunch with grandma and other mommy bloggers. As I already stated, this went very well. I think we bloggers and our friends and family packed out Wendy’s!

~ We also have another CRAFT (Collaborative Regional Agricultural Farmer Training) Field Day to attend. Looking forward to that. Besides getting a little lost due to not knowing the road I needed to be on turned right – no signs saying it did so – we enjoyed the afternoon outside in the fresh air learning about tomatoes, the farm, meeting new people and talking about farming.

~ Writing our business plan and submitting it is a priority so we can see where it takes us and hopefully allow us to plan for the approaching new year. Still working on this after a full week last week! Ugh, gotta get it done.

~ De-junk. Organize. We already have two big bags and a box to giveaway and I hope to have more before Vietnam Vets pick up comes this week. We just don’t want to be cleaning stuff we don’t need. It is so crucial for our sanity to get down to bare minimum. Just the basics here please. But do you know how hard it is? Hard. Believe me! If you are the praying kind, please pray that we discover what our bare minimum is for our family and home. We got rid of a bunch of things, but have a lot more to sift through, so this is ongoing.

This week’s Motivation:

~ This week I am very thankful for two friends, Sarah and Professor, who have agreed to review products and write reviews. As an introduction, Sarah is our pastor’s wife, mom to seven and a former nurse. She enjoys gardening, healthy living and eating. Professor is my neighbor and friend who is mommy to three and an English Professor at the University of Phoenix online.

~ Since we were so busy last week, this week we will be staying home except for our outings to the YMCA to swim, which we all love. The children are improving. Two of them passed the swim test to swim in the deep end, so now they can really work on their endurance. We might even try the open rock climb this week.

~ Getting some client work done and preparing for some time off from one client for the month of November. Puttering on other business projects.

~ Hopefully complete and submit our business plan to the Farm Business Development Center.

~ Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. So thankful we live in a small house that it will just take a little direction and participation from yours truly to hopefully get things in tip-top shape, well, as much as they can be with ten people living in under 1200 sq. ft! We’d love to entertain over the holidays and are simply not comfortable doing so until we purge and clean! The children have worked hard to keep things going while I was pregnant, worked and healed from having Sir Eats Alot, but I am well now and raring to go! Let’s see how much Sir Eats Alot cooperates.

~ We are also revising Tuesday’s column to include health posts, so it will be Health & Garden Tuesday. I know we all desire to remain healthy during the winter season, so we hope to share what we are learning about building up our immune system and preventive ideas as well.

Hope you all are staying motivated as we head into winter. I’d love to hear some of your ideas for staying on top of things and keeping your motivation running so you remain an effective mommy/parent/friend/sister/daughter etc.

Sue Berk Designs Review

I received the following product in exchange for writing a review. While I consider it a privilege to receive free products to review, my review is my honest opinion and thoughts of this review.

About Sue Berk Designs

Sue Berk Designs was founded in the Spring of 2002, by Sue Berk. She does not have any formal training in Art, but always had a love for it.

suephotofam

Sue grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved with her family to Houston during high school. She has traveled all over the world and lived in Israel for a year during her Junior year of college. After completing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas, Sue worked in high tech marketing and product management.

Tired of the corporate world, Sue then renovated houses for 5 years, appearing on The Discovery Channel and in The Dallas Morning News for excellence in home renovation. While renovating houses, Sue did all her own tiling and decided she could make tiles for less than the expensive styles she was buying. She bought a kiln and set about designing and making her own tiles. At this point, Sue fell in love with painting ceramics and started selling crosses, frames, lamps, tea sets, and other ceramic items in some of the most upscale neighborhoods in Dallas, where the company is based. The crosses soon gained in popularity, and Sue Berk Designs was born. Her designs are now sold in over 1000 stores around the country.

Sue lives in Dallas with her husband, Brad Walters, their children Emma, Rachael, and Max, and their 2 cats, Maddie and Max. She still loves to travel and goes to the beach with the whole family whenever she gets the chance!

Our Review

We were delighted when Sue Berk contacted us regarding doing a review of her designs. She sent us two items which are shown below. The first is a cross and the second is a baby blanket:

Cross- $22.95, three colors: pink, blue or white. Other styles and colors are available.

Sue Berk Baby Cross

Blanket- $29.95, two colors: pink or blue. Other styles available.

Sue Berk Baby Blanket

The cross is beautiful, as you can see from the photo, but photos often do not do a product justice and that is the case with both the cross and the blanket.

The baby blanket is incredible and has become one of my favorites for Sir Eats Alot. It is so soft and silky. One side is made of satin fabric and the other side is a micro velour, a very soft fabric. The satin side is cool for the warmer months and the velour side is warm for the cooler months.

I love the verse that is stitched on the border of the blanket, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” ~ Psalm 139:14. A reminder that God has knit our little ones together in the womb and that they are fearfully and wonderfully made by Him.

The blanket washes up really well. It makes a great nursing cover too, if you are a mom that prefers using blankets to other items. It is also packaged nicely, complete with ribbon, making it a great baby gift item.

I am very pleased with these two products. Thank you, Sue!

Review of Belly 9’s Baby T-Shirt Set

I received the following book in exchange for writing a review. While I consider it a privilege to receive free products to review, my review is my honest opinion and thoughts of the book.

milkmilkmilkblackandwhiteonesieset-490x367

I really liked this baby set and thought that it would be adorable on any baby! :) When I received this set I found that their baby sets are very soft and have little shrinkage. The hat is bigger than other hats that I have seen in sets or even the hospital caps. We received the Milk, Milk, Milk set. I chose this because all babies seem to want is milk the first 6 months, plus it was cute. This set retails for $18.00. They have white and black available. I look forward to letting this new little one wear this sometime soon!

Product Review! Bonnet Blankies

I received the following book in exchange for writing a review. While I consider it a privilege to receive free products to review, my review is my honest opinion and thoughts of the book.

boy-product_1_2_1
girl-product_2

When I saw the Press Release for Bonnet Blankies I thought it was such a cute idea! My children love this blanket and have been playing with it until I put it aside for this little one because my children might just use it for something it’s not meant for! ;) The story behind Bonnet Blankies is neat too but also sad, you may read it here. Bonnet Blankies is not only a blanket but a hat! With its built-in hat, Bonnet Blankies are easy to transport, free your child’s hands to play and offer a unique style of comfort. Enjoy convenience and security wrapped in a super-snuggly, premium-quality lovey. Bonnet Blankies come in 2 colors Mint Chocolate Chip and Decadent Dip they are $14.99 each. You may order them here.

The Woobie Blanket Review

Luv My Woobie is a cute baby blanket and is very soft and comfortable for baby it is like chenille, trimmed in satin and appealing to the eye. For those who use pacifiers, you will be happy to know that the Luv My Woobie has a little pocket on the back side to store a pacifier. It even has a Velcro closure so no more losing pacifier!

I could not decide whether or not to let A use this blanket or wait till August if this little one is a girl. So I finally let A use it. She LOVES it! :)

The one thing that I missed when I took the opportunity to review Luv My Woobie is it’s fabric. The one my daughter got is pinks and browns with flowers – everything my daughter loves – except it has skulls on it. They are not scary skulls, they have bows, crowns, bandanas and flowers on their heads and hearts, X’s, and moons for eyes. Therefore they are almost feminine looking, as much as skulls can be. That is my only negative or complaint, if it can be called that because skulls just are not my preference. But my daughter doesn’t seem to mind and seems to think they are “little girls”. :-) Gotta love a child’s point of view! I just found out that this Luv My Woobie is called Sydney and retails for $74.00! Wow, thanks Luv My Woobie!

Luv My Woobie comes in many different fabric choices so be sure to check their website for not only baby blankets, but their smaller travel blankets, burp clothes, bedding, accessories and even their organic line at www.LuvMyWoobie.com

Tommee Tippee Review Team

I received the following product in exchange for writing a review. While I consider it a privilege to receive free products to review, my review is my honest opinion and thoughts of the product.

I received the following product from Mom Bloggers Club and Tommee Tippee in order to facilitate my review.

ttwaterbottle

Explora® Water Bottle In Aqua Blue: This bottle package said spill proof and it truly is! We tested it by giving it to our 2 year old to test and not a drop came out. Not even when he shook it up and down. We were and are still pretty impressed. This water bottle is $4.99 and is worth the $5 you will pay for it. Not only is this cup BPA free but it is a larger capacity cup and is perfect for a child in need of a stage 4 cup.

orangeeasimat

Explora® Easi- Mat In Orange: My 2 year old used this mat with the weaning bowl several times and it did stick to the table but not to his Sesame Street placemat. This mat retails for $6.99.

orange weaning bowl and spoon

Explora® Weaning Bowls with Lid & Spoon x 2 In Orange: This bowl works in conjunction with the Easi-Mat, and it sticks quite nicely to the mat. It was nice not to see him spill his food! The lid did not allow spills either which was another definite plus! The spoon really was for younger children but it was all right. It has not become my son’s favorite spoon but he still uses it. This set is $4.99.

As you can see, not only are these products safe for our children to use, but they are also easy on our pocket books.

Tommee Tippee products can now be found in all Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us stores nationwide as well as on BabiesRUs.com. And Tommee Tippee has a special offer for all of you guys!

Here it is:

Now through July 23: Buy any Explora item (cups and toddler feeding), get the second 50% off at BabiesRUs.com (http://bit.ly/cDYhv8)

Be sure to check out Tommee Tippee on Facebook and Twitter.

Review of My Vintage Baby Clothing

I received the following product in exchange for writing a review. While I consider it a privilege to receive free products to review, my review is my honest opinion and thoughts of the product.

Family June 2010 149
Family June 2010 155
Family June 2010 166
Family June 2010 158

I received this gorgeous outfit from My Vintage Baby. It is from their Summer Days collection (scroll down to Summer Days) and we really love it! It is a two piece capris set that is teal with pink flowers. We think it looks darling on our daughter and she loves it because it has pink in it! She is always asking to wear this adorable little outfit. :)

The outfit did not seem to shrink when we washed it, but we didn’t dry it in the dryer or outside on the line because I didn’t want the colors to fade. So the dryer may cause some shrinkage, but I cannot tell you for sure that since we didn’t use ours.
