We were sent a BPA Free Beginning Solids Kit by Soft Landing and here is what it contains:

# One small DexBaby Dura-bib; colors & patterns vary
# Two Nuby Nibblers
# Set of three Sassy Feeding Bowls with lids and super grip base
# One Play and Learn Training/Teething Spoon (the spoon will not be packaged since they come in a 2pk and we are opening the package for the sampler)

We really like this kit. The kit contains everything you need to feed your baby (but the food!). The bib gives your babies clothing complete coverage from food spills, so that is really nice. It also cleans up nicely with a good scrub or toss in the washer. The Nuby Nibblers will let your baby eat food without choking on it, which I love! The Sassy Feeding Bowls lids snap shut and they come in 3 different sizes. The feeding bowls also come with a super grip base that grips to your table so your baby can’t knock it off. The Training/Teething spoon is a multipurpose spoon that can be used for feeding your baby, but my 6 month old has been using the spoon as a teething ring too and it works great.

I love that this kit is Eco-Friendly and BPA free! And all in all I think it’s wonderful kit and I highly recommend it! We really couldn’t find much wrong with it except the Nuby Nibblers are messy and a nuisance to clean.

The Tasssimo T20 is a glorified coffee maker except for it only makes one cup at a time and it makes that cup in 60 seconds!!

This holiday season, new T DISC varieties are being introduced, including Skinny Cappuccinos and new coffee flavors.

My Review:

I was sent the Tassimo T20 Brewbot in white, a brewer kit in lime green, a package of Gevalia Special Blend Coffee (16 T Discs), and a package of Starbucks Cappuccino Primo that includes espresso and milk creamer (16 T Discs).

Like I said before the Tasssimo T20 is a glorified coffee maker except for it only makes one cup at a time and it makes that cup in 60 seconds!!

To make your drink all you have to do is fill the water tank, insert the T-DISC, put your cup on the machine and press a button. The water tank doesn’t hold that much only about 6 cups, the Tassimo T20 also tends to splatter beyond the splatter guard and surrounding areas of the counter. But, that doesn’t happen as much when you use the overflow cup. Because I have a large cup so it’s harder to use the over flow cup without spilling your drink. The TDISCS also tend to be pricey, but we figured out a way around it by using the cleaning disc (which contains no cleaner or soap) so you can make a cup of hot water faster for your hot drinks.

The Tassimo T20 is a great idea for one or two people, but in order for everyone at your home to get a drink you would need to buy alot of T-DISCS the same goes for a party. However I do like the convenience of the Tassimo T20 and having it in my home office. As it saves on having to boil a whole pot of water.

When asked to write a Christmas message, one of my first thoughts was Do I climb up on my soapbox regarding changing the words in Christmas songs, using only holiday, etc. I thought about it and decided no. After all, they’re only words and what difference does a word make—really make after all?

Then I kept on thinking. If they’re only words… But we as writers know the power of words, as do readers. When the wrong word is used, it jars, while the right word can be most powerful. Take one highly overused and under practiced word—Love. Four letters is all. We toss it around so glibly, saying love ya and luv and love. But think about the power in I love you. Three of the most precious words in our language when put together. Those of us who write romances or books with romance in them, understand the power when one of our characters tells another, I love you. As humans we can never hear that enough or too much.

Christmas is about love. The greatest love story ever told, that of God for us humans, and it never changes. Customs change, politics change, the years change but God’s love never, ever does. At Christmas we are invited to share that love, to give it away, to pass it around. To find wonder again and joy in simple acts of love. We make contact with people we might never see or talk with through the year. That says I love you. We buy and make gifts to give, we reach out to strangers in need, we try to make sure everyone has a special dinner and every child a present. By giving, we receive.

So, let’s use the power words, but more so, put feet on those words and pass the love around. Let’s look for and find the wonder, the joy and the peace, maybe in small bits and pieces and perhaps in an avalanche of blessings. Make your days brighter with the simple gift of a smile, a kind word, a touch, for every single one that you give away, will come back to you multiplied. As you give, so shall you receive. Merry Christmas my friends. May we all recognize our blessings—-and let an attitude of gratitude permeate this holiday and every day. With love and joy on this day, Lauraine!
