Last week’s Monday Motivation:

~ Surprise the children with a trip to the mini golf place we went to on Friday! I just want to get these things in before baby comes. Didn’t happen. Hoping it happens this Tuesday night!

~ Go to the movies on Wednesday for “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. Didn’t happen, we watched it here at home with a free trial from Netflix.

~ Start going weekly to the midwife. Appointment went fine. Baby was not head down any longer though. :-(

~ The older two girls have been asked to help at a farm dinner at one of the farms we have volunteered at, so we will not have our big girls for about three hours that evening. They haven’t been away since they helped at Grandma’s house, so I am sure they will enjoy it. They had a wonderful time!

~ We have Men of Valor and Women of Virtue with our church. The ladies and girls met and had a nice time of fellowship, but the men cancelled their event for the month.

~ The garden. We really need to plant a few fast growing plants that we started inside, just to see how they do compared to our direct planting in the spring. Things like lettuce….We are so very behind on the garden!

This Week’s Motivation:

~ To get our Back-to-School Product Guide finished and introduce you all to some new and exciting products! This is our main priority this week as far as the blog goes. Special thanks goes to my oldest “Virtuous” for all her time and help on it. Couldn’t have done it without her.

We plan to feature 2-3 posts each day on the topics I mentioned:

Monday: School Supplies Products
Tuesday: Lunch Products
Wednesday: Fashion Products
Thursday: Eco Friendly Products
Friday: Technology/Electronic Products

So be sure to check them all out!

~ I really have too many things on my mental list of “to dos” that I am not even going to bother going list them all out here. What gets done, gets done and what doesn’t…well…doesn’t.

Monday Motivation

Last week’s Monday Motivation:

~ A friend I have known since 1988 is doing some great things to enjoy her four children and make lots of memories this summer. She has motivated and inspired me with the slow down of business to relax and enjoy my brood with some fun activities. Someone on our homeschool loop shared that area theaters are having $1.00 Wednesdays on certain movies, so the only two we were really interested in seeing were “Tooth Fairy” and “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. And guess what? They are playing the next two weeks. I should also include this in a Thrifty Thursday tip, eh? We did it and it was a wonderful time for us. I loved listening and watching our children laugh and enjoy themselves, as we had to sit in two different rows to fit us all! The older children thanked me several times, commenting on what a fun time they had. Brownie points for mom, eh?

~ Go to the little beach within walking distance of our house and just play.

~ Weeding, harvesting….We did a bit, but not near as much now that I am in the “turtle” phase of my pregnancy. Yes, I am very slow. My poor husband who is 6 ft tall has to slow his long pace to mine.

~ 36 week midwife appointment Went really well. I got my oral vitamin K. Baby felt and sounded good. Blood pressure is good. And we are getting things ready for our home birth and for baby’s arrival.”

~ Celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary! I wrote about this yesterday. But we had a really fun time going out to Olive Garden for soup, salad, an appetizer and raspberry lemonade. We even brought home dessert (Chocolate Strata cake – a three layer chocolate cake) to eat while we watched a couple of movies.)

Monday Motivation

Last week’s Monday Motivation:

~ Work – there is always something to do for clients and this week is a my first week with a full load for my newest client, so that will be something new. No longer working for this client as it was just not a good fit and another client finished her contract with me.  A bit of a let down, but it may be for the best with the new baby due to arrive any time.
~ Help out friends who just had a preemie baby a week ago at 26 weeks gestation. Baby Huck weighed only 1 lb. 8 oz. He was born via c-section so his mama is still recovering from surgery. This is their first child. They are organic farmers and we plan to help them on their farm a couple of days, plus deliver a couple of meals too. We were able to do this and hope to go to their farm again this week,  Lord willing.
~ Deliver a meal to friends who just had their seventh child – they have seven children 9 and under! Their baby was born a week ago Friday. We were able to do this.
~ Name our baby. Progress! We have a boys name and a first name for a girl! Yay!
~ Harvesting, weeding and hopefully starting some fall planting at our garden. Plus other business that needs to be done for our own farm start up. Only some harvesting and watering done on this front, so we have got behind. And we found out our watermelons are actually pumpkins!

Monday Motivation with Faith and Family Reviews

mondaybutton

I cannot believe it is time for another Monday Motivation here at Faith and Family Reviews! Time is flying by!

This week there is a lot that I want to accomplish, especially since time is winding down for this baby’s gestation. 5 more weeks – give or take days or weeks. So my list may overwhelm even me!

Last week was fun with Do Good Day, and I want you all to tell me if you happened to do any in your own communities. Please leave a comment letting me know what it was and I will enter you into a drawing for a $20 gift card. I haven’t decided whether or not to do a gas card, a Visa card or what, but it will be a $20 gift card. Don’t forget to leave me a link to your post about your Do Good Day activity, ok?

Last week’s progress report:

~ To make it through the week! Seriously, I have been feeling awful, baby has been pressing up on my diaphram and it is very uncomfortable to move these days. I made it thru! Thanks to some special help of probiotics, barley greens and enzymes! A couple of friends recommended these three things to settle my tummy and it appears to have worked. I not only made it thru the week, but also am eating more.
~ Work on client projects. Starting with a new client this week and have a training session tomorrow afternoon. Training went well and I am ready to start assignments.
~ Work in our garden as weather permits. I am sure we have summer squash in need of picking since I forgot to remind Robert and the boys to pick when they went out to the field! We weeded a little bit and harvested and watered a lot in the 90 degree weather.
~ Come up with name for baby! Ongoing until we agree on a name.
~ Work on getting my iron up more. This will be ongoing until even after the baby is born.

Still working on the last two. How are you doing?
