LandCentral Sweepstakes

Shopping for land has been a long and frustrating process for us – because it’s hard to find affordable land where we desire to live. For years we have looked for land and houses in several states. We have looked for land by itself and land that includes a house. Kind of important to have a place to live too as my husband isn’t into camping. There have been several properties we would have loved to have owned but only a few we inquired about.

We have mainly looked for land online, occasionally we’ve used a newspaper, but not very often. We used to years ago, but we’ve become heavy internet users so it’s our go-to place for everything these days, even real estate. The cost of taking a trip to see land in another state, the cost of a move and homeschooling laws (they vary from state to state) and my mother-in-law have always kept us in Illinois. That’s a huge reason we became open to simply renting land so we could stay in Illinois – Land in Illinois is very expensive.

There are a couple regular sites we visit for real estate and land, but we recently learned of a new one for land called LandCentral.com. The site itself is easy to navigate and the information for each listing is an easy to read. They even have an e-newsletter that sends out alerts when property becomes available in your area. The only downfall I see right now is there are no listings for Illinois. Looks like they are working on it though.

LandCentral Sweepstakes

There’s a big giveaway for LAND going on through LandCentral.com sweepstakes. The winner will receive their choice of one of five properties in the US. The giveaway runs from October 1-31.

For years we have wanted to go to Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon, but have yet to. We have looked at a few properties there as I’d love to live some place warm or hot in the case of Arizona! California or Florida would be nice too, except for the earthquakes and hurricanes. Those kind of scare us, but I give people credit who do live with those two things on a daily or seasonal basis. (Joy, Toni, Colleen you all come to mind right now!)

Click this link or the button above or below to enter to win some land of your own. It’s a Rafflecopter form you can fill in as much or as little as you want. The winner of the LandCentral sweepstakes will have their choice of land in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Colorado, California or Florida.

Happy entering!

I wrote this post for the opportunity to be chosen to write on a monthly basis for LandCentral.com

Zoobies Review

What will they think of next!

Zoobies

Zoobies are a stuffed animal,

that turns into a pillow,

THEN can turn into a blanket!

Hooray! Less things to bring in the car for trips! And there is a lion.. a tiger… and a bear (OH MY!) to choose from, in addition to 27 total Zoobie Pet Blankets to choose from!  Zoobies also carries – Book Buddies, Duffle Dogs, Storytime Pals, Blankie Babies, and Slumber Pets.

Zoobies Review

We welcomed Jafaru the Giraffe join our home last week and he has been very loved since the moment he popped out of the box. Greatest feature ever is the blanket can zip off Jafaru to clean separately!  To change Jafaru from a stuffed animal to a pillow, just un-velcro the two loops under his belly and to use the blanket unzip the bottom of Jafaru and pull the blanket out. I found folding up the blanket and putting it can in Jafaru is very easy to use and it fits nicely back into a pillow (if you fold it the way the instructions suggest). The blanket is 44 inches by 34 inches unfolded a good size in my book. We also found Jafaru makes a funny hat!

Kidorable Towel Review & Coupon Code!

All our children have big dreams of being mermaids, space Heros, and pirates. Here’s their chance to live out their dreams with Kidorable Hooded Towels!  These terry cloth soft towels are great for the beach/lake or after bath time.  They are 100% cotton, machine washable and dryer safe. My kind of product – easy care!  The hooded towel are available in 2 sizes (Newborn to 2 years old and 3 to 6 years old).  Here’s the tough decision, which one to choose out of the 11 Kidorable Hooded Towels available.

Here’s what Kidorable has to say about their hooded towels…

“Our customers tell us that our towel designs are the best anywhere. Now our towel quality leads the industry as well. The old material was a soft and absorbent terrycloth.  The new material retains all that is good about that, and adds a layer of super soft velour. The result is an equally absorbent, and now lighter, brighter, softer towel. ”

Pictures can say a 1000 words.

Kidorable Towel Review

Here’s my kiddo in her Kidorable Mermaid Towel! She loves it!

From the moment we got it in the mail, she’s been wearing it!  The Mermaid Towel has a starfish on the head, an orange fish on one side blowing bubbles and a seashell pocket on the other. Then in the back is her mermaid fin.  One of my favorite features is a big yellow plastic snap, that’s even friendly for her to snap herself.  We always try and slip some motor skills in even during bath time. The Kidorable Towel is very soft with vibrant colors. Two thumbs us from us!

Shopping Box Tops for Education with Jingit App #CBias #Social Fabric #JingIt4Edu

School is back in session, your children may or may not still be at home depending upon their age, and if you homeschool or not. You can now support your child’s school or the school of your choice even more by shopping Box Tops for Education with Jingit app. If you are fans of General Mills, then you can shop for specific General Mills products today through Saturday and earn Box Tops for education for your child’s school through the Jingit app. Jingit helps you earn cash from brands you love by watching videos, answering a few questions after the video and finding your favorite brands in-store.

Several years ago we actively participated in Box Tops 4 Education for missionaries friends in Mexico. They taught in a school there and were able to participate in this program and earn much needed money for their school. We know it meant a lot to them to receive the box tops. For us, it was a blessing to be a part of helping others. It was pretty easy to save box tops, put them in a bag and send a full envelope of box tops to them regularly. We stopped due to the missionaries leaving the field (Mexico).

Shopping Box Tops 4 Education with Jingit App

My daughter and I went shopping (follow link for my Google+ photo album) Box Tops for Education with Jingit app last night and purchased a few things for Box Tops 4 Education. We chose a school in Chicago, Catherine Cook, knowing that many of those public schools are in need of more support. It always amazes me that government funded schools still need more money to provide a quality education. Regardless, Box Tops 4 Education helps fill in the gap, so we picked up a few necessary things on my daughter’s list and a few extras. So much for sticking to my list! ;) Then we made our way to the cereal aisle.

The Box Top products we purchased were Honey Nut Cheerios, Nature Valley granola bars (ones my husband likes), Fiber One Brownies and Yoplait yogurt. Three of the four items we bought are products we’ve tried in the past, but have not been purchasing regularly due to our journey to better eating and cost factors. We tend to make homemade goodies and purchase packaged items when we are traveling.

Out of curiosity I visited Walmart.com to see if Jingit is mentioned or an option when you shop online and I couldn’t see anything while browsing General Mills products. However, if I click on shop Walmart on Jingit’s app page, it will take me to this Walmart page and allow me to shop using Jingit online.

I think the app is great, but as you will note in my Google+ story of our shopping experience, it has its quirks. Technology is amazing.

Chungaboo Language Series For iPad Review

I love my apps!  My daughter and I recently got this new app from Chungaboo Language Series (formally Lingo Slingo).  The first selection is “Words” – the app will say bear and then toss about 5 cards with different pictures and your child needs to select the correct picture.  If they select the wrong picture you get an “X” at the top of the screen.  This app has a choice of 6 different languages (Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish).  In addition, there are achievements – in this section there is “All-Time Scoring”, Beginner’s Badge by Language, and Maestro Badge by Language (50 card streak). From this app you can also purchase – Animals, Travel, and coming soon is Color Door. They have teasers to let you try before you spend the money.

This is a great app for your preschoolers!  My daughter will be 4 next month and really enjoys it.  The Chungaboo app not only helps her connect words to pictures, but it helps with her motor skills by the cards moving.  The music is not bad for parents either.  This is a wonderful learning game for road trips!  Check it out in your apps store!  Sorry, I didn’t see anything for you android users.

Over The Moon – The Broadway Lullaby Project

My daughter and I went on an inspiring and peaceful musical journey with Over the Moon – The Broadway Lullaby Project and I invite you to join us. This book and CD are not only fantastic for bed and nap time, it is very calming for adults also.

The Book  – Over the Moon – The inside cover says it best…

It’s often said that “a picture speaks a thousand words,” that “music is the universal language,” that “all the world’s a stage,” and that lullabies fill the special place where babies and those who love them come together.

I’ve never read such a true statement. This 48 page hardcover book is beautifully illustrated and written by many artists, each donating their time for the Over the Moon Book and CD. The CD is attached to the back of the book.

The CD – Pop this 2 CD set of 13 songs each in your player.  Sit down and close your eyes and let the music take you on a voyage. The calming flow of the music will take you and your little one away on a mini vacation.  All the artists on the CD have beautiful melodic voices, including Vanessa Williams.

As is said earlier everyone has donated their time for Over The Moon-The Broadway Lullaby Project, which will raise money for breast cancer charities including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Yound Survival Coalition.

Visit the Over the Moon Website to purchase your collaboration today!  You can also visit them on Facebook and Twitter.

This is such a wonderful book and CD. My daughter and I have listened to the CDs many times and we have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of them.  Perfect for a new baby or baby shower gift!
